Fertilize with a time released granular fertilizer or every 2-4 weeks with a water soluble fertilizer. Grows 6-8 in. tall. Although delicate, pansies are surprisingly hardy and perform well in even the coldest of winters. Even though pansies are not fussy plants, they will grow best in a loose, rich soil with a slightly acid PH. They flower best in full sun and will stretch if planted in full shade. Their large flowers in a wide variety of colors will brighten up an empty spot on your patio or in the garden and will complement flowering perennials during the spring months.
